Third day - May 13, 2000

At the start of a long day of shredding virgin slopes...

Approaching the snow balls...

Trying to roll a one-ton snowball down the slope... Chuck and Mo did manage to move a smaller one and surfed on it down the hill!

Pushing, pushing, pushing the big snowball to no avail...

Chuck skiing in his usual manner, off balance, out of control even on nearly flat terrain...

Chuck starting down an epic slope...

Mo in his usual state (he's a really good snowboarder, but this trip was basically his first time on skis!)

Lars skiing, Chuck waiting at the top right, the excellent tracks below Lars were made by Paul of course.

Later in the day we crossed the valley to this unnamed peak (10,600') above Half Moon Lake, and obviously shredded the bare face of it. The lower part of the run through the trees was especially good.

View from the ridge, Mt. Goddard the prominent dark pyramid-shaped peak in the top center of the picture. Next year it will be ours!!!

Lars forgot that skis and rocks don't mix...

Lars on top of Peak 10,600, with Half Moon Lake, still frozen, way below.

Lars on top of Peak 10,600, with "Finger Rock" in the background.

We shredded Peak 10,600, then moved camp back to a ridge near Chuck Pass.
